About

Joe Bowser is a Senior Computer Scientist at Adobe on the Sensei Content Framework team, and is currently working with various machine learning technologies. He also contributed to Tensorflow once.

Prior to this, he was the co-creator and a long time contributor to the Apache Cordova project and PhoneGap, credited with the creation of PhoneGap for Android in 2008. He is also known for his work with embedded systems and community wireless.

When he is not working on Machine Learning on mobile platforms at Adobe, he is working on various hobby hardware projects, building FPV micro quadcopters under 250g weight, and planning his next hiking trip. In the past he has been associated with activism related to privacy and surveillance including citizen jouralism with Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act.

Joe has a BSc from the University of Northern British Columbia. While at UNBC, instead of focusing on his academic career, he spent his time co-founding CFUR Radio at 88.7 MHz on the FM band, which lead him to a short and infamous career in Campus/Community Radio and taught him very valuable life lessons.
