Joe Bowser is a Senior Computer Scientist at Adobe Systems Inc. He is one of the co-creators of PhoneGap, and originally wrote the Android implementation. He is the longest contributing member of the Apache Cordova project and the Project Management Committee (PMC).

When he is not working on Cordova, he is working on various other projects, including dontflyhere.ca, a website devoted to Model Aircraft and UAV safety, Android projects of various types, as well as working on Web Applications, Basic Hardware projects using Arduino and other ATMEL microcontrollers, GSM hacking and Embedded Linux Software Development. He is also known for working with Community Wifi at one point as well as citizen journalism using Canada's Access to Information and Privacy Laws.

Joe Bowser has a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Northern British Columbia. While at UNBC, instead of being a good student, he spent his time co-founding CFUR Radio at 88.7 MHz which led him to a short and illustrious career in Campus/Community Radio. This taught him very valuable life lessons.
